Its a great desk chair! I wasn't sure if the wheels would be able to slide over my carpet because its a little thicker than the rug in the photos but they do. The gold base matches a couple of things I had in the room already like my lamp and bookends. My office looks more professional now since I've had to work from home for the last several months. I highly recommend it!

I love its gold finish!! I was iffy on whether or not the wheels would get stuck on my carpet though, they slide easily over it with no trouble.

It has all the features of an office chair from officemax or office depot, but for 1/2 the cost and better looking. I don't know why people assume the chairs with more padding are better for lumbar support and working for long hours. They actually get worn fairly easily overtime. This chair goes with the colors in the room and its comfortable too.

Could this chair be setup without the wheels?

It is not recommended to use this chair without the wheels. We do have a similar version without wheels it just does not come in the same material.
